AF.CAT.1

Military Investigations

When a military aircraft crashes, if it resulted in death or injury, there is generally more than one investigation, each conducted by the military. Military Authorities policy states that effective prevention programs be instituted military-wide to eliminate hazards and prevent recurrence of accidents. For this reason, all accidents should be investigated.
